Events at Newport Golf Club

Another sucess at the april open day 2009 a great variety of the public came up the club and were all amazed at the wonderful veiws and terrific set up on the practice acdamey that is available to all ages.

The club had to sharpen their game as the opposition tried to steal our public with a large publicity effort but they didn't get us! We hit the them with an Isle of Wight Radio add. That helped us to get 30 members of the public to attend.

As you can see from the photo's the wide variety of ages and both sexes made the most of great weather.

With graham darke's wonderful simple down to earth instruction they were all laughing and enjoying themselves after just half an hour all were swinging well and filling the range up with balls and really surprising themselves how quickly you can pick this game up.

All went away happy understanding that there is more to golf and there is no doubt they will come back and see us again someday.
